Before I created LALI LALO in 2013, I worked for several jewelry designers in New York City and was often conscious of the lack of intention in the making of the jewelry and the lack of purpose in the design. I was looking for a more meaningful piece of jewelry.
With my knowledge and experience, I realized that I could create jewelry empowering women, made of recycled metals in order to respect Mother Earth and using genuine stones to bring the energy and power of Nature to the wearer.
Named after my childhood nickname given by my grandmother (herself a jewelry designer in Paris in the 1950’-60’s) , LALI LALO was born.
I set out to create an authentic, joyful jewelry brand for the stylish and mindful woman around which I believe is YOU.
I really feel like nowadays people are embracing the world in a more “spiritual” and energetic way and so was not afraid to use the power of natural stones in my designs.
The road toward it was a bit more difficult than I imagined. Raising two kids in NYC without your family around and owning a small business can sometimes be a roller-coaster ride if you know what I mean.
As well as finding quality and respectful materials at a price you would happily agree on was quite difficult.
But realizing that I could empower woman through my believes and my creativity, I persevered and now my kids are happy to see me smile everyday because I can finally contribute what I was meant to.
We released the first complete collection and the response has been only pure love from everyone who sees our jewelry. By the way, thank you for believing in us and supporting this dream.
